This piece was born directly out of a deeply private, intense emotional state—the profound pain, sorrow, and exhaustion that we deliberately keep locked away behind closed doors. It honours the silent struggles we choose not to share with anyone, shielding even our most cherished loved ones from the depth of our internal battles. The violent, beautiful textures slashing across the canvas represent a stark truth: while the outside world might catch a glimpse of our visible surface scars, there is an entire universe of profound grief and resilience navigating through life in absolute silence, hidden entirely from view. Red Door is the physical threshold where that private pain is finally allowed to exist out loud, transformed into undeniable, breathtaking strength.
