As the founder of Spec of Blue, I believe that art is a physical manifestation of resilience. My creative foundation is deeply rooted in a rich multi-generational artistic lineage. I am the sixth generation in my family to pursue the arts, following the path of my grandfather—a profound vocalist—and my mother, who continues her dedicated practice as a teacher of veena and vocal music today. From them, I learned the profound value of practice, discipline, and emotional expression.

My work is an exploration of the duality between chaos and peace—a dialogue expressed through heavy, hand-applied textures and minimalist compositions. I create pieces that invite collectors to pause and find their own strength within the canvas.

The name Spec of Blue carries a deeply personal duality for me. 'Spec' acknowledges the honesty of my journey as a self-taught artist learning the nuances of business from the ground up, while 'Blue' simply speaks to my affinity for the colour’s calming, sophisticated depth. Each piece is a testament to the idea that even in our most complex moments, there is a quiet, enduring beauty waiting to be uncovered.
